Samsung is ready to launch Galaxy Z Fold 7: Likely to be in July 2025


The Galaxy Z Fold 7, Samsung's next-generation foldable flagship, is scheduled to be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event at the beginning of July 2025. The camera's capabilities, performance, and design all stand to benefit significantly from this iteration. 

Date of Release and Availability:

In accordance with Samsung's previous release schedules, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is anticipated to launch in early July 2025. 

 Design and Exhibit:

The Z Fold 7's design is reportedly being improved by Samsung to make it sleeker and easier to use. Highlights of the design include:

 Slimmer Design: 

When folded, it measures just 4.5 mm, making it Samsung's smallest foldable device to date. 

 Larger Displays Size:

An 8.2-inch internal foldable screen and a 6.5-inch external cover display, both featuring LTPO AMOLED 2X technology with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 2600 nits. ​

 Enhanced Durability:

The design of the hinges and the display layers have been improved to make them less likely to crease and more resistant to dust and water. 

 Camera Upgrades:

 It is anticipated that camera technology will advance significantly: Main Camera: A 200MP wide-angle sensor, a substantial upgrade from the previous 50MP. ​

 A 12MP ultra-wide, 10MP telephoto, 10MP front-facing, and 4MP under-display   camera are additional cameras. 

 Hardware and Software:

  The Z Fold 7 is expected to come equipped with: Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy. ​

 RAM and storage:

12GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB of storage options are available. Android 16 with Samsung's One UI 8, which features improved multitasking and a new user interface, is the operating system. 

 The Battery and Charge:

 It is anticipated that the device will have a 4,400mAh battery that can handle 25W of wired and 15W of wireless charging. 

 Price Expectations:

 Pricing is anticipated to ₹1,64,999 for 12GB RAM +256GB storage variant and ₹2,25,000, depending on the storage configuration. ​

 S Pen Support:

While S Pen compatibility has been a feature in previous models, it's currently  unclear whether the Z Fold 7 will include an integrated S Pen or require a separate purchase. ​
